Solo Show at Cabot Circus

THE WOODS

I am really excited about this next project. It is a large group art exhibition as well as fundraiser organised by Alex Wilks in the Leigh woods next to Bristol.
I've checked the weather forecast and its all clear for next friday and i've got a brand new piece to show. Everyone is invited and its free but bring some pennies because we are making cakes and bringing booze to sell and all money raised will go towards the Fine Art Degree show. I think its going to be a really special evening. Hope to see you there!

Coming soon to a Bristol shopping center... my first solo show! It will be apart of a series of four solo shows called SubSet which takes place in the centre of the busy Cabot Circus. During a two week period me and a group of friends will showcase our current practice which has been produce during our last year of university. scary! I'm nervous!

Book Covers

I found the Ann McCaffrey on my mums bookshelf and brought the Crystal healing books off ebay. All the books suggest that crystals have valuable powers but one is Fact and the other Fantasy.

What i like most about the piece is leaning them together, it is a sort of empty sculpture and i plan to develop this technique in future work.

Mouse trap

I think this small sculpture is a bit 'cheesy'... much like that hideous pun. Yet, i enjoy the cartoon death/ crystal maze quality of the piece.

Gary

There is something about glitter, despite the obvious tacky stigma attached to the material, I think the cheap sparkle creates a magpie eye effect over people.
